Madison, N.J. - (10/9/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (2-6-4) traveled to FDU-Florham (8-2-2) where the Devils outshot the Griffins 27-11 as Gwynedd Mercy was defeated 2-1. Freshman goalkeeper Kevin Kretschman (Glenside, Pa.) started all 90 minutes in net for the Griffins and had a career-high seven saves in the loss (0-3-3).
 
Griffin Highlights:

• The Griffins only goal came at the 19:15 mark when sophomore forward Braedon Kehan (Warrington, Pa.) placed a beautiful crosser from 20 yards out from the net allowing senior midfielder captain Mike Fienman (Philadelphia, Pa.) to header in his third of the season. This goal is also his second straight game with a goal. Kehan is now up to a team-high four assists on the season. 
• Gwynedd Mercy was only able to rack up one corner kick the entire 90 minutes while FDU-Florham finished with eight. 
• Fineman, Kehan, senior forward Mert Yildirim (Levittown, Pa.), freshman defenseman Cole Costello (Richboro, Pa.), and freshman midfielder Sam Hanley (East Longmeadow, Mass.) all finished with two shots in the contest. 

 
Gwynedd Mercy returns to the Athletic Complex on Thursday, October 12, for their final non-conference matchup when they take on Penn College for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff.
