Lillie Uttenriether (Bel Air, Md.) and junior midfielder
Laura Filchner (Bath, Pa.). Following a scoreless first overtime, the Mighty Macs escaped the Griffins' grasp with a tip-in at the goal's mouth in the 76th minute; 3-2 (75:47).
Griffin Highlights
- Sophomore forward Makenzie Reed (Philadelphia, Pa.) completed a pass from junior forward Amber Sims (Perkasie, Pa.) halfway through the eighth minute of the affair; 1-0 (7:27).
- The Griffins out shot the Mighty Macs in the first, 3-0, and fourth, 5-3, quarters.
- Freshman goalkeeper Nikki Williams (Cinnaminson, N.J.) (2-9) was brilliant in net as she fended off 13 Immaculata University shots. The baker's dozen marks her season-high.
- Gwynedd Mercy University also received defensive saves from Filchner and sophomore defender Abby LePage (Cinnaminson, N.J.).
- Reed and Filchner took two shots apiece, but junior midfielder Maddie Jeter (Bensalem, Pa.) recorded a team-high three shots.
