Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (10/14/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (2-11, 1-3) welcomed Marywood University (11-3, 3-0) to the Athletic Complex for today's Atlantic East Conference (AEC) contest. The Griffins recognized senior forward Olivia Headley (Langhorne, Pa.) prior to the start of the affair. Unfortunately, the Griffins could not honor her with a win as the Pacers used three second-half scores (30:27, 41:24, 55:26) to leave the Red and Gold behind in a 4-0 final.

Griffin Highlights

• Gwynedd Mercy University totaled eight shots and seven penalty corners.
• Individually, freshman midfielder Hailey Crosby (Afton, N.Y.) led the Griffins with three shots.
• Headley had a great opportunity to score a senior day goal, but her shot (36:10) caromed off the post of the Marywood University cage. 
• Freshman forward Lillie Uttenriether (Bel Air, Md.) and sophomore forward Mackenzie Reed (Philadelphia, Pa.) split the other four Griffin shots.
• Freshman goalkeeper Nikki Williams (Cinnaminson, N.J.) recorded six saves in the loss (2-10). She got some help from sophomore defender Abby LePage (Cinnaminson, N.J.), who recorded her fourth defensive save of the season.

Gwynedd Mercy University briefly breaks from AEC play on Wednesday, October 18, when they host Muhlenberg College for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
