Hackettstown, N.J. – Gwynedd Mercy University (10-9, 3-3) traveled to Centenary University (New Jersey) (9-10, 0-6) looking to get back to 500 in the Atlantic East Conference (AEC). After taking a commanding 47-20 lead going into the half, the Griffins were able to keep up the offensive pressure against the Cyclones in the second half leading to an 80-50 victory. Senior guard Elise Sylvester (Pottstown, Pa.) finished the game with a game-high 23 points on 5-18 shooting. Sylvester also recorded six rebounds, and two assists.

Griffins Highlights: 

• Griffins outrebounded the Cyclones 61-42 with 23 of their rebounds being offensive. 
• Gwynedd Mercy's bench outscored Centenary (N.J.) 26-11.
• The Cyclones offensive was suffocated by the Griffins defense as they only shot 19-66 (29%) from the field. 
• Senior forward Haley Crossley (Philadelphia, Pa.) finished with a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds. She also had two steals and a block.
