Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (9/8/2022) – Gwynedd Mercy University continued to display a potent offense in today's 6-0 victory over the University of Valley Forge. Freshman forward Bethany Beinlich (Forksville, Pa.) headlined the win with seven points; the impressive performance included her first collegiate hat trick (18:39, 21:30, 47:28) and an assist to freshman midfielder Dakota Fryns (Dracut, Mass.) on the game's initial tally (1-0, 17:58).
 
After the opening tally from Fryns (1-0, 17:58), Beinlich scored the first two goals (18:39, 21:30) of her hat trick and freshman forward Jordyn Basile (Quakertown, Pa.) added a unassisted score to spur the Griffins to a 4-0 (23:35) halftime score. In the second half, the third Beinlich strike (5-0, 47:28) and a blast from graduate midfielder Megan Crammer (Riverside, N.J.) (6-0, 64:27) would cap the scoring for the Griffins. 
 
Beinlich only needed six shots to score her three goals. Meanwhile, Basile recorded a team-high nine shots and finished the affair with three points. Gwynedd Mercy University totaled 50 shots in all; a total that ranks fourth all-time in program history. Freshman goalkeeper Madisson Ronn (Warrington, Pa.) finished the game with the win (1-0).  
 
Gwynedd Mercy University travels to Clarks Summit University on Saturday, September 10, for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
