Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (9/30/2022) – On Wednesday, October 5, the Gwynedd Mercy University field hockey team will once again join the fight against Cancer as they host Atlantic East Conference (AEC) rival St. Mary's College of Maryland for their annual Play4TheCure game and league opener (4:00 p.m.). We encourage all fans to wear pink in support of the cause.
 
Students, family, and friends in attendance are encouraged to wear pink to the event and support the cause with a small donation; please use the provided link to access the Gwynedd Mercy University Field Hockey Donation Page. You may also access the link on the field hockey schedule page or by scanning the QR Code at the bottom of this page. A QR Code will be available to scan the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletic Complex on game day. All proceeds from donation go directly to the Susan G Komen Foundation.
 
Established by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), in partnership with the National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR), Play4TheCure inspires athletes to leverage their passion for sports to "Play4" loved ones affected by cancer. Throughout the season, participants establish Play4TheCure events that raise dollars to support cancer research; 100% of dollars raised through Play4TheCure supports NFCR-funded scientists.
