Dallas, Pa. - (9/2/2022) - Gwynedd Mercy University traveled to Misericordia University for today's season opener.

The Cougars grabbed an early lead with a goal just 1:28 after the opening whistle and added an insurance tally at 25:37 to separate themselves from the Griffins in a 2-0 final. Misericordia University controlled a majority of the possession with a 14-0 shot advantage and a 11-0 edge in penalty corners.

For the Griffins, sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Lawless (Bristol, Pa.) (0-1) totaled three saves.

Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action on Tuesday, September 3, when they visit Cedar Crest College for a 11:00 a.m. contest.
