Sherer Completes GMercyU Athletic Training Staff

Quinn Sherer, MS, LAT, ATC
Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (4/21/2022) – Gwynedd Mercy University Head Athletic Trainer Michael Jurski MS, ATC, LAT, is pleased to introduce Quinn Sherer, MS, LAT, ATC, as the most recent addition to the Griffins' Athletic Training staff. "I am very excited to have Quinn join Gwynedd Mercy University. His knowledge of athletic training and his experience will make him an integral part of our sports medicine team." Sherer will serve as an assistant on the Gwynedd Mercy University athletic training staff, joining Jurski and fellow Assistant Athletic Trainer Heather Kilduff, BS, ATC, LAT. 
 
A classmate of Juski's at West Chester University, Sherer earned his master's degree in 2020. As a Golden Ram, Sherer enjoyed student experiences with the National Football League's (NFL) Baltimore Ravens (Summer Internship, 2019), the National Hockey League's (NHL) Philadelphia Flyers (Athletic Training Student, 2019), West Chester East High School (Athletic Training Student, 2020), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III football and women's gymnastics programs at Ursinus College (Athletic Training Student, 2018), NCAA Division II women's rugby and football programs at West Chester University (Athletic Training Student, 2019), and NCAA Division I men's basketball, men's crew, and women's crew programs at St. Joseph's University (Athletic Training Student, 2019-2020).
 
Since graduation, Sherer has served as an athletic trainer at Louis E. Dieruff High School (Allentown, Pa.) via the St. Luke's University Health Network (September 2020 – April 2022). There, he oversaw and managed the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic related injuries and illnesses for the school's student-athletes. Sherer also played a role in the school's implementation of COVID-19 guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe environment for training and competition. He has additional experience in budgeting, inventory, and administrative duties associated with an athletic training office.
 
Sherer is a Board of Certification (BOC) Athletic Trainer with membership in the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). He a National Provider Identifier (NPI) and certified by the American Red Cross in Basic Life Support, First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and the Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Sherer earned his bachelor's degree in clinical exercise science from Ithaca College (2017) and his master's degree in athletic training from West Chester University (2020).
