Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (4/23/2022) - Gwynedd Mercy University (15-16, 8-5) scored their sixth straight Atlantic East Conference (AEC) win with today's 4-2 victory over Marymount University (20-11, 3-7). A three-run Griffin second inning was enough coverage for sophomores
Frank Ebling (Cherry Hill, N.J.) and
Mitchell Bramsway (Temecula, Calif.) to secure Gwynedd Mercy University the win.
Junior first baseman
Nick Price (Levittown, Pa.) hustled home for the first Griffin run of the third inning. It tied the affair at 1-1, before senior second baseman
Jake Martell (Yardley, Pa.) knocked in the next two runs of the frame, 3-1. A eighth-inning triple to left center from senior left fielder
Brett Swire (Boyertown, Pa.) provided another insurance run for Bramsway's third save (3) of the season.
Swire (2-for-4, RBI) was the only Griffin to record multiple hits. Junior third baseman
Noah Andress (Levittown, Pa.) (1-for-3) doubled and scored in the second inning.
