Scranton, Pa. - (4/20/2022) - A 6-4, 6-0 win at number six singles from sophomore Avamarie Backich (Southampton, Pa.) concluded today's Atlantic East Conference (AEC) match league leading, Marywood University (7-7, 3-0). Unfortunately, it was the only point Gwynedd Mercy University (3-6, 1-3) scored in the match as the Pacers earned the 8-1 league win with a sweep of doubles play and consecutive singles victories in the second (6-0, 6-0), fifth (6-0, 6-0), third (6-1, 6-1), fourth (6-1, 6-1), and first (6-1, 6-4) singles flights.

Gwynedd Mercy University concludes their AEC schedule on Friday, April 22, when they host Neumann University for a 4:00 p.m. match.
