Union, N.J. - (2/19/2022) - The 2022 baseball season opened this afternoon for Gwynedd Mercy University (0-1) as the Griffins traveled to Kean University (5-0) for the first nine innings of the spring. There, the Cougars tallied three runs in the third inning and two runs in the fourth inning before the Griffins used a walk to sophomore right fielder
Barry Walker (Egg Harbor City, N.J.), a double down the left field line from senior center fielder
Jack Jamison (Fort Washington, Pa.), a fielder's choice, and a balk to score the final run in the fifth inning of an eventual 5-1 final.

Jake Martell (Yardley, Pa.) was 2-for-4 with a stolen base at the top of the Griffin batting order, while Jamison (1-for-3), senior first baseman
