Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (12/3/2022) - Gwynedd Mercy University (2-5) earned their second straight win over Bryn Athyn College (3-1). The Lions came out of the gate leading the Griffins 18-13 and eventually 22-21, but that would be the last lead Bryn Athyn would stand on all game. Gwynedd Mercy continued to gain second-chance points and stellar defense to give them a 47-36 lead going into the half. As the game was coming down to the wire, the Lions made it a seven-point game with less than 13 minutes to go (57-50). A couple of late three-pointers by Junior guard Manny Clark (Pottsgrove, Pa.) and Junior guard Aziz Parker (Westhampton, N.J.) sealed the game for the Griffins with a final score of 86-68.

• Griffins outrebounded the Lions 50-20 with 20 of those 50 rebounds being offensive. 
• Gwynedd Mercy had 24-second chance points, while Bryn Athyn only had three. 
• Parker finished with a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. He also had three assists and a steal to go along with that. 
• Sophomore forward Dom Thomas (Mullica Hill, N.J.) finished with eight rebounds, six being offensive. Thomas also finished 5-7 from the floor with 12 points.
• Clark was the leading scorer for the Griffins going 7-14 from the field and 3-5 from three allowing him to finish with 19 points, five assists, and three rebounds. 

The Griffins will be back in action Wednesday, December 7, when they travel to Chestnut Hill College for a 7:00 p.m. tip off.
