Volleyball Falls to Scarlet Raptors in Four

Camden, NJ - (10/20/22) - The Gwynedd Mercy Volleyball Team was defeated by Rutgers Camden 1-3 on Thursday night.

Highlights:
  • Rutgers-Camden won by set scores of 26-24, 25-20, 23-25 and 25-23.
  • In a close first set, the teams tied at 24-24, but the Raptors took the W. 
  • The Griffins kept working and rallied from a deficit to take the third set. 
  • Junior Outside Hitter, Bria Purnell, led the team in kills with 21. Freshman Setter, Amanda Lopez,  added 31 assists to her team while Senior Libero, Ashley Morris, led with 18 digs. 
The Griffs will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Marywood University for a 6:00pm start.
