Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – Gwynedd Mercy University (4-9, 0-3) played host to Cabrini University where a pair of third-quarter goals would allow the Cavilers to walk away with a 4-1 victory. Cabrini struck first in the second quarter at the 17:28 mark taking a 1-0 lead heading into the half. Two goals for Cabrini were scored within three minutes of each other in the third quarter extending their lead to 3-0 heading into the final frame. The Cavaliers would strike once more (4-0), but the Griffins struck back (4-1) with 1:30 left in the game but would be too little too late for Gwynedd Mercy. Graduate forward

Gwynedd Mercy University came out aggressive and was awarded with a penalty corner just 33 seconds into the game, however, graduate midfielder
Kaci Murray's (Chalfont, Pa.) shot was blocked. At the 6:05 mark, the Griffins again earned a penalty corner. Team captain and senior
Alexis Schambers (West Chester, Pa.) was given a great opportunity, but her shot was saved. Down 3-0 heading into the fourth quarter the Griffins just two minutes into the quarter turned up the offensive pressure. Gwynedd Mercy was given another penalty corner but again was unable to find the back of the net. As time was winding down and being down 4-0 the Griffins made one last effort to answer the Cavilers. A penalty corner was given at 58:25 and at 58:30 Thornton found the back of the net (4-1).
