GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The women's volleyball team fell 0-3 (17-25, 24-26, 21-25) to Penn State Berks in a non-conference matchup Wednesday evening.

Despite an effort on all sides of the court from Bridget McTamney, the Griffins couldn't rally their way back. McTamney had 22 assists, 8 digs and 3 kills. Aybria Purnell led the teams in kills with 13 while Lauren Yancer recorded 8 digs, 2 assists and one service ace.

The Griffins kept each set close, but unfortunately was upended by the Lions.

Gwynedd's volleyball team is back in action Saturday, October 2 for a home tri-match with Penn State Abington (10:00 a.m.) and FDU-Florham (2:00 p.m.).
