GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Gwynedd Mercy Women's Tennis Team had their Senior Day on Saturday, but Marywood ruined the party with a 5-4 decision in an Atlantic East Conference match.

Prior to the match, the coaching staff and team took time to honor Shannon Carroll, Nicolette Diaz, and Sydney Thompson along with their families.

Thompson and Casey Meenan were dual winners on the day, picking up wins at #2 and #4 singles respectively, and teaming together for an 8-6 victory at #2 doubles. Diaz and Jen Eismann won their match at #1 doubles, prevailing 8-1.

The Griffins will play Immaculata before the start of the AEC Women's Tennis Team Tournament that begins on Wednesday, May 5th.
