RADNOR, PA. -- The Gwynedd Mercy University Softball Team fell to Cabrini on Saturday in a pair of Atlantic East Conference games on Saturday, 9-5 in game one and 9-0 in the second.

Game One
Jocelyn Baumeister was 2-for-3 with two home runs while Shylynn Cordero also collected two hits, but the Cavaliers broke open a 3-3 game in the fourth with six runs.

Maddy McBride got GMercyU on the scoreboard with a two-run homerun in the second. Baumeister connected on a solo shot in the third and later added a two-run blast.

Cabrini's Emily Wargo had a two-run single as part of that six-run fourth.

McBride struck out a pair in four innings of work in the circle.

Game Two
Cabrini plated runs in all four innings and held the visitors to five hits. Emily Shaheen, Cordero, Baumeister, Madison Condurso and Abigail McCoy all reached via base hit. Baumeister struck out a pair from the circle.

The Griffins return to action on Tuesday and Wednesday in a four-game series against Neumann. Gwynedd will host the Knights on Wednesday beginning at 3 p.m.
