RADNOR, PA. -- The Gwynedd Mercy Women's Lacrosse Team fell to Cabrini, 15-3, in a rainy Atlantic East Conference matchup Wednesday afternoon.
Victoria Mollitor registered a pair of goals, six draws, four groundballs, and a caused turnover for the Griffins.
Damali Teagle also scored for GMercyU while also adding six draws.
For Cabrini, Dana Carlson totaled a game-high seven points (three goals/four assists) while teammate Olivia Pace netted four goals. The Cavaliers got out to an early 3-0 start before Teagle's free position goal at the 27:02 mark of the first. It would be the only score for the rest of the half as Cabrini scored the next 11 to hold a sizable lead at the break.
Goalie
Reilly Owens made 11 saves in net for the Griffins. The team was outshot, 33-17, but held a 12-8 lead in draw controls.
Cabrini's goalie duo of Sam Hamalak and Abbey Fenton combined to make six stops.
Gwynedd Mercy continues their road conference slate on Saturday as they head to Wesley for an AEC matchup.
