Gwynedd Valley, PA. -- The Griffins went up went up against a tough Albright team, falling 8-1 at home.
" While we had a very inexperienced lineup, The players fought really hard. Many of the scores are not indicative of the quality of play. Moira Ryan played very determined."
Rachel Kressler & rookie Madison Condurso, playing together for the 1st time ever, played very well together, barely dropping an 8-6 bout. The true surprise of the day was rookie Condurso at singles, where she went head to head with another dual-sport athlete. "Madison's complete athleticism in conjunction with her tennis background in high school, clearly were the difference today in a long grueling match against a player getting everything back!" Coach Holt stated. "She is fun to watch!" he offered.
Fellow rookie, Nicole Rival also turned in a gritty performance, despite the box score.
Holt further said " Although it seems like baby steps, he players are progressing for sure."
The women will face Albright again this spring on March 19th.
