AUBURNDALE, FL. -- A big eight-run sixth inning was the difference in Gwynedd Mercy's 13-7 win over Hanover on Saturday in their first game on their Florida Trip.
Rob Bailey drove in a career-high four RBI's while
Bobby Heck and
T.J. Brasier each added three hits in the victory.
Trailing 6-4 heading into the bottom of the sixth, the Griffins put out seven hits and two walks to cross eight runs. Bailey and Brasier helped key the inning with a pair of two-run singles.
Brasier would add an RBI double in the seventh to tack on some insurance.
Starter
Brian Wildrick pitched into the sixth, where he struck out seven while yielding four earned runs on eight hits.
Drew Kelly led Hanover by going 2-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored.
The team is back at it down in the Sunshine State on Monday when they square off with Trine.
