DOYLESTOWN, PA. -- The Gwynedd Mercy Women's Lacrosse Team notched their first win of the season on Wednesday in an 18-2 victory at Delaware Valley.
A milestone was hit during game as
Victoria Mollitor scored her 100th career collegiate goal as the senior tallied a game-high five scores. Mollitor totaled 43 goals in two seasons at Arcadia before scoring 48 last season in her first year as a Griffin.
Victoria Braeunle added six points on three goals and three assists.
Samantha Brown and
Laura Pelczar also added three scores apiece as the Griffins ran off 15-straight goals to pick up the road win.
Meleah Hoats,
Anna Bernicker, and
Erin Osborne also scored for GMercyU.
The team totaled 31 shots and 19 groundballs. Brown collected a game-high and career-high eight groundballs on the day.
Goalie Riley Owens made eight first-half saves.
Julia Smith entered in the second half and did not yield a goal.
For the Aggies, Natalie VanOrden and Amanda McKeegan scored the goals for Del Val. The goalie duo of Shannon Hood and Liv Valentine combined for 18 saves.
Gwynedd Mercy resumes action on Saturday when they host Goucher starting at noon.
