ABINGTON, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy secured their first victory of the season in their 3-2 win at Penn State-Abington on Wednesday.

Amanda Credidio scored two goals and another tally from Megan Crammer put the Griffins in the win column.

The Nittany Lions struck first, going up 1-0 in the 11th minute on a score from Mary Kate Smith. Credidio made it 1-1 with her first on the season with an assist from Jillian Potcher. Just over a minute later, Potcher and Genny Lombardo set up Crammer for her first career tally to give Gwynedd the lead for good.

Midway through the second half, Nicolette Conway set up Credidio on her second goal of the day for a two-goal cushion.

Abington pulled within one score with 12 minutes remaining in regulation, but the Griffins limited the Lions to just one shot the rest of the way to lock up the win.

Goalie Daniella Repkoe recorded a pair of saves to register her first career win. Penn State keeper Morgan O'Loughlin made five.

The team is back at it on Saturday when they head to Bryn Athyn.
