DALLAS, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy scored three unanswered goals in the second half to go on and defeat Bridgewater College, 3-1, Saturday afternoon. The game was played at Misericordia University.
Allison Campbell scored twice in the fourth quarter while
Michaela Swenk added a score and an assist to help the Griffins to 2-0 on the 2019 season.
After a scoreless first half, the Griffins saw the Eagles score on their only shot with 6:57 in the third quarter. Just over two minutes later, Swenk put home her first on the year on a penalty corner to tie things up.
Caitlyn Thornton earned the assist.
Campbell netted the first of her two scores, both a personal best, two minutes into the fourth quarter for their first lead of the day. Swenk then set up Campbell just over a minute later to add some insurance for the 3-1 advantage.

Abi Kennedy made two saves in the first half. The Griffin defense yielded zero Bridgewater shots in the fourth.
The team will host Scranton on Tuesday evening in their home opener in a 7 p.m. start.
