PHILADELPHIA, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy moved on to the finals of the 2019 Atlantic East Women's Tennis Team Tournament as they posted a 5-0 semifinal victory over Marywood on Friday at the Legacy Tennis Center in Philadelphia.

The Griffins now face Immaculata, who defeated Neumann in the other semifinal, tomorrow for the inaugural Atlantic East Championship.

Gwynedd took all three doubles matches to go up 3-0. The winner is deemed when a team reaches five victories of the nine matches. From there, Sydney Thompson posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at #3 singles followed by Jenna Trythall's 6-1, 6-1 win at #4 to clinch the match.
