RADNOR, PA. -- Playing without one of their key starters today, the Gwynedd Mercy Women's Tennis Team closed out their regular season, emerging victorious with a 8-1 win over Cabrini in an Atlantic East Conference match.

The victory was initially sparked by strong wins at all three doubles slots, including an impressive debut performance at number 1st doubles by freshman Jen Eisemann, teaming with senior, Natalie Danze. Danze & Nicolette Diaz, and Shannon Carroll & Sydney Thompson all came through with rock solid performances in singles, to go along with their gutsy doubles wins. Head Coach Jim Holt stated, "That was a nice team effort all around. I really look forward to watching when our 'Twin Towers' are out there.  They really bring a unique dimension to the team and give you everything they have when they are out there on the courts, whether it be basketball or tennis. I love their fire and competitiveness!"

The Griffins have clinched the #2 playoff seed in the Atlantic East Women's Tennis Team Tournament which begins next weekend, May 3rd and 4th at the Legacy Tennis Center in Philadelphia.
