RADNOR, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy was on the wrong end of an Atlantic East doubleheader defeat at Cabrini on Wednesday. The Cavaliers took game one, 9-1, and doubled up in game, two, 18-2.
Game one
The Griffins were limited to just two hits in the first game. The team scored their lone run in the fourth when
Tori Sherwood raced all the way home from first on an error at second base, beating the throw.
Cabrini used a two-run walkoff single in the fifth from Alexandra Schell off starter
Alexis Gartner, who took the loss in the circle.
Game two
Lauren Waller was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. She would double in
Rebecca Christoffers in the second inning.
Amanda Clark, who was 1-for-2, then knocked in Waller with a single as part of a two-run inning.
Four Cavaliers had three or more hits as they roughed up the pitching staff for a season-high 21 hits allowed.
