BRYN ATHYN, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy posted an 8-1 win at Bryn Athyn on Wednesday.

Head Coach Jim Holt was very happy with the performance, stating "It obviously was a team win but standout performances from first-year players Shannon Carroll, Josephine Kraah, and a stunning, rock-solid comeback win by Andrea Hernandez. Carroll and Kraah collected solid victories, keeping them undefeated in singles. Carroll impressed with both doubles and singles wins, which was really nice to see. Hernandez found herself in a deep hole, but turned things around drastically and won in a hard-fought three-set battle.

Holt also said "Andrea totally lit it up after she got back on track. That is by far the best I have ever seen her play, and she was playing two slots ahead of where she normally plays!"

The team plays at Cairn on Saturday.
