Victoria Mollitor,
Meleah Hoats also scored for GMercyU.
Carly Gregg and Jazmin Torres had six goals apiece to lead Rutgers-Camden, who outscored Gwynedd Mercy 10-1 over a 17 minute span between halves to put the Griffins in a deficit they came close to toppling.
The teams traded goals in the game's first 14 minutes, deadlocked at 3-3. Pelczar's score at the 11:25 helped stake GMercyU to a 7-4 lead in the first half. Later, Gregg netted two of the Scarlet-Raptor's three goals to tie things up at 8-8. After Brown scored on an eight-meter shot with 6:39 remaining in the first, Rutgers-Camden held Gwynedd scoreless the rest of the stanza and the first 6:32 of the second before Braeunle ended the drought, but the team now trailed 15-10.
With just under 13 minutes to go, Braeunle netted back-to-back goals to pull Gwynedd to 16-13, but the team could not any closer as the Scarlet-Raptors were able to salt the win.
Rutgers goalie Brittany Watson frustrated the Griffins as she made 15 saves, 12 of which came in the second half. Gwynedd keeper
Julia Smith recorded six stops.
Braeunle, Hoats, Mollitor, and Bernicker each pulled in four groundballs apiece. Braeunle added nine draws.
The team will get right back at it on Thursday when they kick off Atlantic East Conference play at Cabrini.
