Shannon Carroll tied a career high with 21 points to lead four starters in double figures as Gwynedd Mercy clinched a spot in the upcoming Atlantic East Conference playoffs with an 84-68 victory at Wesley on Saturday afternoon.
Carroll was 6-for-9 from the field and a perfect 9-for-9 at the free-throw line while pulling in seven rebounds.
Susan Bossler hit on four three-pointers to finish with 16 points.
Olivia Roseman had her second career double-double with 13 point and a career-high 12 assists.
Denise Sacco kicked 14 points to help the Griffins snap a four-game winless streak.
Trailing 21-14 after the first ten minutes, GMercyU scored 28 points in the second stanza, shooting over 58% as a team. Two free throws with 50 seconds in the frame from Sacco gave Gwynedd its first lead since early in the first (39-38). The team took a 42-40 lead heading into the halftime break.
Bossler's three capped a 12-2 Gwynedd run to start the third as lead never fell below double figures the rest of the way. The lead grew to 67-50 after three quarters.
For the game, the Griffins (44%FG/36%3PT/69%FT) out-shot the Wolverines (42%/31%/68%). Gwynedd also totaled twelve three pointers for the fourth time this season. Bosser (4) and Roseman (3) with Sacco,

The Griffins also held the glass, outrebounding Wesley, 40-36, with Thompson pulling down a team high eight.
Monshea Newsome-Murray led the Wolverines with 18 points.
The Griffins will return back to action on next Saturday when they host Marywood University to close out the Atlantic East Conference regular season. The Griffins will also honor the team's seniors before the game.Â
