GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy won its second home game in a row with their 19-16 victory over Delaware Valley on a chilly Wednesday afternoon.
Trailing 9-8 at halftime, the Griffins scored the first four goals of the second to lead by as much as six. The advantage stretched to seven 19-12 with 4:02 remaining before the Aggies tried to chip away at the lead.
Victoria Braeunle tied a personal best with a game-high seven goals and added two assists for nine points on the day.
Victoria Mollitor also tied a career high with six tallies.
Samantha Brown added three scores, an assist, and a career-high 10 draws.

Julia Smith recorded eight saves in net. Del Val's Amanda Dietrich was credited with nine stops.
Claire Gamache paced the Aggies with six goals, three helpers, and four caused turnovers. Teammate Amanda McKeegan kicked in five goals.
Leading 5-4 midway in the first half, Gwynedd netted three scores in over a three-minute span to open up their lead. However Delaware Valley closed out the last 6:04 of half with six goals in a row to take a 9-8 score at the break. Goals from
Jill Kane and Braeunle looked to put GMercyU ahead for good (19-12) with four minutes to go. The Aggies would score four in a row with the first coming with 1:45 remaining and the final tally with just four ticks left.
Gwynedd Mercy heads south to Virginia next week over Spring Break as they play at Lynchburg on Wednesday and at Sweet Briar on Friday.
