BALTIMORE, MDD. -- The Gwynedd Mercy University Baseball Team fell on the road at Johns Hopkins University on Tuesday, 5-0.
The Griffins outhit the Blue Jays but left nine runners on base throughout the course of the game.
Senior
Jason Mulvey was 3-for-4 on the day while
Bobby Heck,
Nick Mulvey and
Dave Tatoian added a pair of hits.
Junior Pitcher
R.J. Boyle worked into the fifth inning striking out a pair of batters.
Cameron Culver and
Matt Pallotta each worked a scoreless inning out of the bullpen.
Despite being outhit, Hopkins plated runs on a pair of solo home runs in the fourth and seventh innings. The Blue Jays would plate three runs in the seventh on four hits to break the game open.
GMercyU will look to bounce back on Saturday when the Griffins start their annual spring break trip at The Russmatt Central Florida Invitational. Gwynedd will play Louisiana College on Saturday followed by a doubleheader on Sunday against King's College to open up the trip.
