GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Gwynedd Mercy Volleyball Team makes its return to the postseason as the Griffins travel to Marywood for a first-round contest in the 2019 Atlantic East Conference Tournament. Game time from Insalaco Arena is slated for 7 p.m.

The Griffins, who clinched their playoff berth in their season finale last week with a three-set sweep over Immaculata, have earned the fifth seed and play in the postseason for the first time since 2007.

The fourth-seeded Pacers are riding a four-match win streak.

The two teams met back on October 26th in Scranton with Marywood winning, 3-1.

Gwynedd features the conference's leader in digs and aces in Cait Saalfrank. The libero is ranked fourth in digs in all of Division III. On the attacking side, Liz Schule and Madelyn Mosser each average over 2.30 kills per set while setter Bridget McTamney had totaled over 18 double-doubles (assists/digs).

For the Pacers, Ashley King and Peri Sheerin are ranked in the top 15 in the Atlantic East in hitting percentage. Marywood has also won the last 13 matches over the Griffins.

Tonight's other first-round matchup pits #6 Wesley and #3 Cabrini. #1 Marymount and #2 Neumann await the winners.
