DOVER, DE. -- Gwynedd Mercy fell, 2-1, at Wesley Monday night in the Atlantic East opener for both teams.
The Griffins struck early, as
Evan Kirby scored his second goal in as many games to give GMercyU the 1-0 lead.
Hugh Lynch drew the assist just 3:38 into the contest.
With just under 15 minutes in the opening half, Wesley's Justin-John Langba netted two goals in a span of under a minute to quickly give the advantage back to the Wolverines.
Gwynedd goalie
Tyler Blair made three saves in the first half and five in the second. Jason Sommer recorded three stops for Wesley, who fired off 42 shots (11 SOG) to the Griffins' four.
The team continues conference play as they travel to Marymount this Saturday.
