GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Gwynedd Mercy University Men's Soccer team fell to Cabrini University, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day in the Griffins final regular season Atlantic East Conference match up.

During halftime, the team and coaching staff honored their lone senior, Kace Peters, along with his family.

The Cavaliers opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Josh Cunningham headed home the first tally of the game. Cabrini would hold the lead into the halftime break.

In the second stanza, the Cavaliers would get another header goal from Matt Duddy on a set piece played by Dakota Bauer in the 76th minute. Andre Justin added the third goal in in the 86th minute on a penalty kick.

For the Griffins, Tyler Blair recorded three saves while Peters made one. Mike Gould made one stop as well for the visitors.

The Griffins now await their playoff hopes. Marywood has two remaining games (Saturday night and Wednesday) and if they don't win or tie in their final two contests GMercyU will earn the final playoff spot.

Gwynedd will close out the regular season against Goucher on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
