GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Gwynedd Mercy University Men's Soccer team fell 3-1 to defending Atlantic East Conference champions Neumann University on Saturday afternoon.

The Griffins held a 1-0 lead when Mike Czajka scored on a penalty kick goal in the 30th minute. However in the closing moments of the first half GMercyU was dealt a red card and would have to play a man down in the second stanza.

Neumann capitalized in that second half scoring goals in the 53rd, 63rd and 79th minute respectively. Ainsley Reid led the Knights with a pair of goals and an assist.

Tyler Blair and Kace Peters each made two stops each for the home team. Seth Walker recorded three stops for Neumann.

The Knights outshot the Griffins, 16-5, and held a 10-3 corner advantage.

GMercyU will return back to action on Wednesday traveling to Immaculata for a 4 p.m. kick off.
