PHOENIXVILLE, PA. -- The Gwynedd Mercy University Women's Basketball team scored a 77-45 victory Monday evening at the University of Valley Forge in a non-league match-up.

The Griffins were led by four double figure scorers with
Susan Bossler leading the way with a team high 14 points.
Shannon Carroll,
Chyanne Fine and
Emma Keal all scored 10 apiece.

GMercyU jumped out early to a 23-12 lead after the first stanza. Fine book-ended the first Griffin run to go ahead 11-3. Â A 12-point run to close out the quarter capped by Keal put Gwynedd ahead by eighteen. The Griffins clamped down in the second quarter holding the Patriots to two field goals. A Carroll bucket and Bossler triple opened the Gwynedd scoring in the second. A Marissa Sullivan three point play highlighted an eight point run late in the stanza with the Griffins leading, 43-18.

Gwynedd opened the second half on a 15-0 run with
Dylan Johnson scoring a pair of back to back buckets. Three pointers from
Monet McGorda,
Sydney Thompson and
Lyndsay Micucci sparked the fourth quarter for the Griffins.

For the game Fine led Gwynedd with eight rebounds to help GMercyU hold a 56-34 advantage on the glass.

The Griffins will now return back to Atlantic East Conference action on Wednesday when they host Wesley College at 6 p.m.
