MIDDLETOWN, PA. -- Penn State-Harrisburg defeated Gwynedd Mercy, 3-0, Saturday afternoon.

The Lions took advantage of two penalty kicks, one early in the contest and another in the waning stages of the second half, in the contest.

Griffin goalie Kace Peters notched a career-high seven saves in the game. Harrisburg keeper Hunter Cooper would earn the clean sheet.

In the fourth minute, the Lions (5-0) were awarded a PK after a foul in the box. Aaron Cummings converted to make it 1-0. Eric Caldwell made it 2-0 with less than 10 minutes to go in the half where Harrisburg lead at the break.

The Griffins (0-3) were not credited with a shot on the day.

Gwynedd Mercy will host DeSales on Wednesday evening in a 6 p.m. start.
