GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Highlanders of Cairn University came out on top over Gwynedd Mercy, 3-0, Monday night.
Timothy Smith scored twice in the first half both the goals in the half making 1-0 in the 29th minute and adding his second with just less than two minutes in the period. He had a hand in the third goal, assisting on a score from Brandon Hasko to account for the scoring.
The Griffins were outshot, 11-6, but had four corner kicks to Cairn's one. Goalie
Joe Duffy ended the night with two saves. Kameron Clark finished up with 3 for the Highlanders (2-3-1).
GMercyU (0-6) will be back in action this Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Bryn Athyn.
