BALTIMORE, MD. -- The Griffins battled through five sets but came out on the wrong end of a 3-2 decision at Notre Dame of Maryland on Friday night. Set scores were 25-11, 20-25, 18-25, 25-21, and 15-10.
After a 25-11 loss in the first set, Gwynedd trailed 18-14 in the second. The team put together an 11-2 run highlighted by four kills and an ace to even things out at a set apiece. In the third, GMercyU used 16 kills in the frame, to help rebound from 3-0 deficit to lead 11-6. It would be a lead they would not relinquish.
