SWARTHMORE, PA. -- At the Swarthmore College Last Chance Qualifier on Monday that featured a handful of Griffins competing,
Sara Gray broke her own school record in the high jump to win the event. Gray's best mark of 1.62 meters is her top outdoor mark in the event. She is also the school's record holder in the same event in the indoor season as well.
Gray's previous top mark of 1.60 meters came at the Greyhound Invitational back on April 21st. Monday's result also puts her in the top 50 of all of Division III.
Morgan Williams hit a personal best in the 200 meters, clocking in at 26.51 which is an ECAC Qualifying time.
Amber Brecht also ran in the 200, and hit a PR, with her time of 27.74. Brecht also competed in the 100 meters (13.38).
Kaitlyn Lutz ran her second-fastest time of the season in the 800 meters (2:33.02).
On the men's side,
Rashid Marrow and
Sean Cole were unable to better their times in the 100 and 200 meters. Marrow ran an 11.47 in the 100 and a 22.95 in the 200. Cole timed in at 24.30 in the 200.
Patrick Timlin (long jump) posted a top mark of 5.93 meters while
Adrian Sasin (discus) threw a 32.05m.
Brandon Higgins ran a 17.15 in the 110 meter hurdles.
The ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships gets underway Wednesday with action concluding on Thursday. This year's event takes place at Johns Hopkins University. The following Griffins will be competing:
