LAPLUME, PA. --
Victoria Braeunle notched 10 points on six goals and four assists but Gwynedd Mercy was edged out in a wild 20-19 decision at Keystone on Saturday.
The Griffins close out conference play with a 3-5 mark and clinch the sixth and final playoff seed. The CSAC Playoffs begin next Saturday when Gwynedd will play at third-seeded Immaculata in a time to be determined.
Braeunle's 10 points was one shy of a program single-game mark.
Lauren Mitros added four tallies and two assists and
Alyssa Tomsic kicked in three scores.
The game itself had six lead changes and 10 ties. Gwynedd broke a 14-14 score with three straight, but the Giants later found a way to take a 19-18 lead with 7:42 remaining.
Tomsic added her third on the day with 4:32 left to knot the teams once again. Keystone's Savannah Robinson, who led all scorers with seven, scored the eventual game winner with just under two minutes in the contest. The Griffins were able to get a possession in the waning moments, but unable to get the tying score.
Gwynedd outshot Keystone, 47-39, and had a 24-21 groundball edge while the team totaled 11 caused turnovers for the third game in a row. Braeunle totaled a team-high three CT's with Mitros snagging 11 draws.

Nicole Wood recorded 10 saves while her counterpart, Daphne Leenas made 15 stops.
The Griffins close out the regular season on Wednesday with a road contest at Purchase College.
