GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. --
Victoria Braeunle and
Alyssa Tomsic each netted five goals to help lead Gwynedd Mercy to a 17-6 non-conference win over visiting Bryn Mawr Thursday evening in a rescheduled matchup from March. The game would be the final regular season home game of the season.
Braeunle added four assists to total nine points, eight draw controls and five caused turnovers, all game highs. The five goals from Tomsic raised her team-leading total to 55.
Jill Kane added three tallies and a helper with
Lauren Mitros,
Camryn Sheahan and
Samantha Brown all adding goals on the night.
The Griffins built a 9-0 lead 14 minutes into the first half before the Owls got on the board. GMercyU led 13-3 at halftime.
Goalie
Nicole Wood made four stops in net. Her counterpart, Claire Hampton recorded nine stops for Bryn Mawr (2-6).
Maeve Donnelly had three goals with teammate Kylie Woo adding a pair for the Owls.
Gwynedd Mercy resumes action on Tuesday, when they head to Immaculata for a big CSAC clash with the Mighty Macs.
