WILKES-BARRE, PA. -- Clayton Wolfe poured in a game-high 25 points and earned a spot on the all-tournament team to help lead Gwynedd Mercy to an 89-72 victory over Hartwick in the consolation game of the FNCB/Monarch Classic hosted by King's on Sunday.

Wolfe also contributed seven boards and six assists on the day. Rich Dunham added 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals as the Griffins led from start to finish.

A fast break bucket off a steal from Dunham staked GMercyU out to a 10-2 lead three minutes into the contest. The lead swelled to a 24-point advantage (41-17) as Matt Sommers hit a three followed by a jumper. Gwynedd led 48-29 at the half.

The Hawks were only able to climb to 83-70 with just over three minutes, but a last offensive burst helped cement the score.

Sommers netted 11 points. Jordan Perkins kicked in nine points and five rebounds.

For Hartwick, Justin Carruthers scored 16 points and Tommy Kelly added 14.

Gwynedd Mercy returns home for a date against Lebanon Valley on Wednesday night tipping off at 6 p.m.
