Griffins Shut Down By Saints

ARLINGTON, VA. -- Gwynedd Mercy suffered a 2-0 Atlantic East Conference defeat at Marymount Saturday afternoon.

The Saints' Karen Reyes scored a goal and assisted on the other as Marymount netted scores in each half. GMercyU totaled 10 shots on the day and one corner kick.

Goalie Kailey Hopkins totaled six saves on the day for the Griffins (3-6-3, 0-2-0 Atlantic East). Sydney Sherman and Sydney Schultz each recorded one stop in goal for Marymount.

Gwynedd Mercy plays at Wesley on Wednesday in conference action starting at 7 p.m.
