DeSales got on the board less than four minutes into the game as Kylie Honnick-Payne worked her way around the Griffin defense where she as able to beat goalie
Sarah Crane for the early goal.
GMercyU quickly answered less than two minutes later as
Shannon Carroll found Campbell through traffic for the sophomore's first tally on the season. For Carroll, it's her team-leading third assist this year. Six minutes later, Crane was up to the task, denying Honnick-Payne in front of the cage.

On their third corner of the half, Gwynedd cashed in to go up two scores on a goal from Thornton, her first collegiate score, with less than 12 minutes before halftime.
Maggie Walsh had the assist.
The second half went scoreless, but Gwynedd (5-4) almost put another point on the board with ten minutes left in the game as Carroll found herself on a breakaway but was thwarted by Polyviou with a diving save.
