WILLAMSPORT, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy outshot Lycoming, 12-6, but it was the Warriors claiming a 3-0 decision in a non-conference matchup on Sunday.

The Griffins (0-2) also held a 7-2 corner kick advantage, but were unable to get the offense on the board.

Lycoming struck first in the 33rd minute off a goal from Allison Edwards. Both teams combined for seven shots in the opening half, as the Warriors held the one-goal lead at the break.

It stayed 1-0 until the 71st minute when Jordan Lazarich scored the first of her two goals on the day. Her second came just over five minutes later to account for the scoring.

Gwynedd keeper Kailey Hopkins recorded two stops in net. The duo of Madi Welliver and Helen Ross combined for six saves.

The Griffins resume action on Wednesday when they welcome Delaware Valley in a 4 p.m. start.
