SCRANTON, PA. -- Marywood downed Gwynedd Mercy, 19-3, on Tuesday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest.

The game marked a matchup of Griffin first-year head coach Shannon Algeo, a former assistant at Marywood for the last two seasons, returning to Scranton to face the Pacers.

Rookie Samantha Brown netted all three goals and added four draw controls for GMercyU (3-10, 3-5 CSAC), who now need a win on Saturday at Notre Dame of Maryland to secure the sixth and final playoff seed. Aubrey Cook added three groundballs, two draws, and a caused turnover.

Goalie Bria Gillard recorded 11 saves in the first half to finish with 13 for the contest. MU keeper Lauren Smith recorded three.
