Griffins Storm Gators For Fourth-Straight Victory

BALTIMORE, MD. -- Gwynedd Mercy stayed hot, winning their fourth game in a row with a 5-0 Colonial States Athletic Conference win at Notre Dame of Maryland Tuesday afternoon.

Meghan Petroski continued her scoring spree, as the senior notched a pair of goals and a pair of assists. She has multiple points in four-straight games and recorded her third multi-goal game in a row. The two goals today moves Petroski into a tie for second place on the all-time scoring list with 48 goals.

Erin Reitmeyer also scored twice while Victoria Braenule also tallied, as the Griffins (7-4-1, 5-1-1 CSAC) scored all their goals in the first half en route to the victory. The duo also added an assist apiece.

The 32 shots were a season high. GMercyU kept Gator goalie Loren Pardoe busy as she recorded 20 saves. Gwynedd keeper Kailey Hopkins made one stop to record her sixth clean sheet of the year.

Gwynedd Mercy returns home to face Cedar Crest on Saturday in a 3 p.m. start.
