GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Arcadia was able to break a scoreless contest with a goal in overtime as Gwynedd Mercy fell 1-0 to the Knights in a battle of Route 309 neighbors.
Bradley McKim headed a ball off a corner kick just 5:31 into the first extra session for the game winner.
The Griffins were held to five shots while Arcadia (5-2) racked up 19 on the night, keeping Gwynedd goalie
Ryan Oyola busy.
Oyola would hit double digits in saves, making 10 stops. The Knights' Chris Watson recorded three saves.
Gwynedd Mercy, now at 4-4 on the season, will welcome Rosemont here on Saturday as part of a turf field tripleheader. The men's team gets it started at 11 a.m. The women's team follows at 1:30 against Clarks Summit and ends when the field hockey squad hosts Montclair State at 5 p.m.
