BALTIMORE, MD. -- Jessica Behr homered, tripled, doubled and scored six runs and Kim Machalette drove in a total of four RBI's to help Gwynedd Mercy to a CSAC sweep of Notre Dame of Maryland on Friday. The Griffins took game one, 6-3, and the second, 14-3.

Down 2-0 after the third in game one, the Griffins plated four in the fourth as an RBI triple from Amanda Hesson highlighted the frame. She would later score on a single from Tara Matteo.

Behr made it 6-2 in the fifth as she hit her fourth home run of the season, a two-run shot.

After the Gators crossed a run in the sixth, starter Alyssa Morales worked out of a potential tough spot in the seventh. With runners on first and second and two outs, she was able to wrap up the first game with a grounder to short.

Matteo had two hits while Behr scored twice. Morales scattered seven hits with just one walk and three strikeouts.

In game two, Machalette did it with the bat and on the mound. She would go 3-for-3 with four RBI's, a double, stolen base and a walk at the plate. In the circle, she would strike out a season-high seven while yielding just five hits and three runs (none earned) as the game was ended after the fifth.

Behr was a homer shy of the cycle, as she was 3-for-4 with a career-high four runs scored and an RBI.

With three runs in the first and a run in the third for a 4-0 lead, Gwynedd would open up the contest with a seven spot in the fourth on six hits and an error. Becki Christoffers, Nikki Canfield, and Machalette all drove in a run and scored in the frame.

Machalette would add an RBI double in a three-run fifth.

Gwynedd Mercy will take on Centenary here on Sunday at noon in a rescheduled DH from Saturday.
